Titian Belgium Linen Canvases Transparent Primed

Titian linen transparent canvases are available in eleven sizes and have a natural, high-end feel.

The Masters loved linen long before cotton; today, it is still the preferred painting surface for many professional artists.

Each transparent Titian canvas has been triple-coated with a clear, acid-free, non-yellowing gesso. This barrier creates an excellent working surface for your paints to sit on. Working with artist-grade pigments, you will want to preserve them by working on a well-primed surface.

If you would like to paint the edges of your canvas, Titian frames feature staple-free edges. All staples are placed at the back of the canvas.

For extra durability, the stretcher bars are made from kiln-dried heavy-duty one 1/2″ pine. The linen is 12 oz / 450 gsm in weight and has a fine to medium texture.

It is common for some artists to partially cover a linen canvas and keep some parts of it revealed. If you are working with a bright colour palette, the natural linen can help to neutralise it.
