Flat edges

The flat edges of the nylon brushes continue to hold a sharp edge, even after many uses, even if you are using harsh, spirit-based media. The nylon bristles – sometimes called Taklon – have enough flex to cover objects effortlessly and professionally.

The Pro Hart Swagger paintbrushes feature flat bristles and short timber handles. Each handle is designed to fit snuggly in your hand. 

The one-inch brush features a 12.2cm handle, the two-inch brush has a 12.7cm handle, and the three-inch brush has a 13.7cm handle. 

Each brush handle features the signature Pro Hart Swagger crackle finish, for which the paintbrush range is renowned. 

Each brush is held together with a solid brass ferrule and has two small pop rivets to secure the brush hairs and handle. Hair loss on these paintbrushes is infrequent – even after constant use.

• Three-dimensional work can be painted on quickly, facilitated by the natural flex of the nylon brush hairs. 
• The Pro Hart Swagger flat brushes are also ideal for gesso application onto any working surface.
• Varnishing can sometimes cause brush strokes to be seen on flat and dimensional objects; with the Pro Hart Swagger paintbrushes, these retention lines are reduced and sometimes cannot be seen at all. 

Cleaning your big art brushes

Cleaning involves dipping the white nylon fibres of the paintbrushes into warm, soapy water or solvent. 

Please ensure you get right up into the ferrule area when cleaning to ensure the longevity of your Pro Hart brushes. Finally, reshape the brush bristles and leave them to dry.
